At Old Fashioned Luxury, we design custom watch cabinets around the collection itself. Capacity, dimensions, drawer layouts, materials and practical requirements can all form part of the design.
Rather than asking a collector to adapt to a standard cabinet, we begin with the number of watches, the space available and the way the collection should be stored, accessed and presented.
The result is bespoke collector storage created around the collection, the room and the person behind it.

Drawers designed around the watches
The internal layout matters just as much as the exterior.
Watch size, bracelet or strap configuration, cushion fit and spacing between individual pieces can all affect how a drawer should be designed.
Where required, the cabinet can also include dedicated sections for straps, jewelry or other accessories.
The objective is to create an internal structure that makes the collection easy to access, visually organized and appropriately protected.

A bespoke watch cabinet can be designed around more than the collection alone.
Where required, dimensions can be developed around an existing safe, room or piece of furniture. Access, drawer clearance, depth and practical installation requirements can all influence the final design.

Built for more than 100 watches
One of our most substantial bespoke projects was developed for a collector requiring storage for more than 100 watches.
The cabinet combined multiple watch drawers with dedicated jewelry storage and integrated watch winders, all within a highly specific footprint.
Projects at this scale demonstrate why standard watch storage eventually reaches its limits. Capacity, access, power, drawer clearance and installation all become part of the design.
The solution has to be built around the collection and the space it will live in.

How many watches can a custom watch cabinet hold?
Capacity is determined around the collection. We can develop cabinets for larger collections with multiple drawers and a substantial number of individual watch positions.
